Create Project
Projects are logical containers within your workspace that organize related metrics, dimensions, and data connections. Each project can represent a different business area, product line, or analytical domain.
Creating a project allows you to structure your semantic layer in a way that makes sense for your organization and simplifies access control and governance.
Project Creation
Start a New Project
From your workspace dashboard, click "New Project" and provide a project name and description. Choose a name that clearly reflects the business area or domain the project covers.
Configure Project Settings
Set up project-specific configurations including data schemas, refresh schedules, and access controls. These settings determine how data flows through your project and who can access it.
Assign Team Members
Assign team members to the project with appropriate roles. Project owners manage the overall structure, while analysts can define metrics and dimensions.
Next Steps
Once your project is created, the next step is to add data connections and environments. This allows your project to access data from your databases and data warehouses.
